The dates have been confirmed for the quest to set a 500-way world record. The Dubai 500 organising team is able to confirm that the 253-way event is to occur on 19-27 February 2012, with the 500-way world record attempt following in early March 2013.

Patrick McGowan, a member of staff at Skydive Perris in California, passed away on 31 March following a canopy collision, leaving behind his loving wife, Blue, and his two children, Rose and James.
