    Seven members of BLESMA, the British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association, travelled to Elsinore in March to complete their AFF courses. Supported by the Army Parachute Association and Airkix, they had already completed a number of tandem skydives as well as some wind tunnel time.

    Admittedly the journey to Texel was a long one – thirteen hours door-to-door for most of us – but it was well worth it when we got there. Team Gringo – aka Conor O’Brien (P), Jason Fox (OC), Daren Murphy (IC), Dave Wickes (T) and Tony Labbz (Cam) – arrived at the DZ on the evening of Thursday 15 September.

    The machine that is Dubai 500 is marching on, and several new team captains have been added to the lineup. Lesley Gale and Milko Hodgkinson join Pete Allum to give the Brits three captains in total. Brit Chicks coach Marco Arrigo and popular French FS organiser Patrick Passe also join the team.

    The Royal Aero Club Trust has announced its bursary scheme designed especially for young people for the 2012 season. If you're aged between 16 and 21 years and are a citizen of, and resident in, the UK then the Trust is offering you up to £1,000 to advance your skydiving qualifications.
